Sassi - Restaurant Captain/ Trainer, servers, front door staff

SASSI (www.sassi.biz) is Scottsdale's nationally known destination for fine Italian dining, wine and special events.

We have a position open for a restaurant captain who can take significant responsibility for server and other staff training as well as support service and manage staff during service hours.

Captain's position has base hourly rate plus share of service charge and tip pool. Total is $20+ per hour, more during busy months, plus medical insurance benefits, paid vacation, meals and uniforms.

Training captain will be responsible for reviewing and revising current training materials, manage training for new staff and developing training modules for additional positions. Typical captain/ floor manager responsibilities during service include guest relations, server supervision and small event supervision.

Server positions, both full and part time: minimum one year in full service dining with basic knowledge of wine service. Training wage paid for approximately 2 week/ 60 hours of training. Experineced, skilled servers make over $20 per hour.

Also hiring part time/ on call banquet servers for weddings and other events.

Greeter position: greet and seat guests following standards, take relephone reservations. $9 per hour plus $1-$2 per hour in tip pool.

All positions: paid training, paid vacations, medical insurance and uniforms.
REQUIREMENTS
Captain/Training: Candidate for captain/ training position should have 2+ years experience in fine dining, experience with training staff, business writing skills and basic ability to use MS Word. Experience in developing training materials is helpful but not required. Candidates with business, management or hotel related degree preferred.

Servers and Greeters should have full service dining experience.

All positions require impeccable grooming and dress (uniforms provided), read and speak English language fluently, gracious and cheerful customer relations skills and desire to learn and serve unique and disinctive Italian food and wine.
