Servers needed for the Tremont Park Hotel's restaurant 8 EAST!!
Full and Part time Opportunities available due to the promotion of Staff!!
·Regular and timely attendance for all scheduled shifts.
·Maintains consistent Tremont Suite Hotels Standards of service.
·Conducts him/herself in a professional manner and adhere to all policies as explained in the Tremont Suite Hotels Handbook.
·Maintains professional attitude and appearance with attire or uniform in compliance with the Tremont Suite Hotels Policies.
·Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
·Maintains cleanliness and organization in back of the house departmental work areas and storage areas.
·Ensure that all equipment is returned in safe condition in quality and quantity issued.
·Knows and understands general Micros 8700 System and cashier procedures, including all paperwork involved such as check and room accounting, tip reporting forms, cash etc.
·Is familiar with Credit Card, direct billing, travelers or personal checks and cash procedures.
·Maintains complete knowledge of, and strictly abide by, liquor regulations and state law. “T.I.P.S.” certified helpful but not required.
·Maintain knowledge of:
a)Daily house count, arrivals/departures, and VIP guests.
b)Scheduled in-house group activities, location and times.
c)Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
d)All department policies and service procedures.
·Maintain Knowledge of service requirements for each scheduled shift:
a)Detailed menu selection, major ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnish and method of presentation.
b)All wine, liquor brands, beer and non-alcoholic selections available in outlets.
c)Prices of specified selection
d)Group names and background.
e)Type of function and expected attendance/guarantee numbers.
f)Scheduled hours of service.
g)Special requests/arrangements
h)Order of service, traffic flow in room
i)VIP’s
j)Daily Specials
·Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
·Insures Restaurant is never unattended.
·Ensures that all Restaurant rooms are secure when not open for business.
·Complete understanding of protecting all assets of the Hotel and Safety procedures.
·Knows and understands proper phone usage when dealing with guest to determine their Food and Beverage needs.
·Knows and understands all aspects of table and tray set up and retrieval.
·Familiar with the Hotel floor plan to include room locations, icemaker, elevators, etc.
·Executes all opening and closing Side Work duties according to departmental manual.
·Understanding and execution of all Sequence of Service for each meal period.
·Focus of attention of details on team effort, anticipate and attends to guest needs.
·Reports any guest complaints, comments or requests to the manager.
·Maintains close communication with all Food and Beverage Managers.
·Focuses on guest relations and maintains the highest standard of service.
·Assists other Restaurant Staff members with their job functions to ensure guest satisfaction.
·Works with any guest on the phone or in person to determine their Food and Beverage needs.
·Maintains accuracy of all telephone restaurant reservations to ensure proper communication with guests.
Performs any additional duties as assigned by any Food and Beverage Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
1.One-Two years experience as a Restaurant/Banquet or Room Service server, preferably in a Hotel environment.2.Knowledge of various food service styles (i.e. French service, Russian service, table side service, butler style service)3.Ability to communicate in English, to provide legible communication.
4.Must be able to perform simple mathematics for cash handling purposes
5.Must be able to be multi-tasked in a food & beverage environment.
6.Some knowledge of Room Service is a plus but not necessary.
