Public Affairs Producer, Public Affairs Host

KPTS Public TV serving South-Central Kansas Wichita, KS Public Affairs Producer Seeking a Public Affairs Producer to produce its highly acclaimed public affairs programming. Responsibilities include all aspects of the production including content selection, pre-production, guest booking, working with program host, and preparing program content for web streaming. Requirements: undergraduate degree, previous experience as a television producer, familiarity with field production, studio production, non-linear editing, a strong interest in public affairs and the ability to work flexible schedules. Occasional travel to Topeka. Public Affairs Host Seeking a host for the highly acclaimed Kansas Week, Ask Your Legislator and other locally produced public affairs programs. Previous on-air radio and/or television experience required. Must have a keen interest in local and state public affairs and the ability to work with producers to schedule guests, research topics, and present information in a clear and concise manner.
