Manager, Professional Staffing/Sales Executive
Directly Reports To: Vice President of Talent Acquisition
Title: Manager, Professional Staffing/Sales Executives
Position Summary
As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in Human Resources to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision making process.
Actively markets the department-s management/executive recruiting services and assures the highest level of search quality. Identifies, assesses and delivers the best-qualified candidates to fill management positions. Independently manages a wide spectrum of search assignments, as well as special projects. Works with business clients to understand the business/functional needs and frames staffing strategies. Provides expertise in creating job/candidate specifications. Develops and maintains business partner relationship with assigned functional disciplines or strategic business units. Expands relationships with minority/women-s organizations and networks that will result in greater access to richer sources of candidates.
Will provide integrated recruiting solutions that proactively meet the staffing demands of the sales and marketing business. This will include several components with special emphasis on the sourcing and screening of potential sales professionals (“sales executives”) for all Marriott brands of timeshare, fractional, and whole ownership residential sales. It is expected that the services will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Expected Contributions
A.Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and/or projects. Often manages small projects, business processes or parts of larger ones.
B.Responds to, solves and makes decisions on more complex/non-routine business requests with limited to moderate risk.
C.Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
D.Directs all phases of management search assignments to include the following:
E.Assesses intermediate and long-term management requirements.
F.Develops position descriptions, and candidate profiles specific to client organization.
G.Develops search strategy and confirms services to clients.
H.Identifies, sources and evaluates prospective candidates.
I.Interviews prospective candidates and produces a rank order of recommended candidates.
J.Provides training as necessary in interview and assessment techniques.
K.Directs thorough reference checks, reviews compensation packages and approves offer letters.
L.Follow up with placed candidates and manager to assess transition into the organization and provides assistance if required.
M.Aggressively manages cost per search, diversity goals, cycle time, etc. on searches.
N.Provides recruiting activity reports to clients as requested.
O.Works with clients to develop employment profiles/descriptions to identify opportunities within specific groups or disciplines. Challenges traditional recruiting thinking by finding opportunities to include candidates from non-traditional resources.
P.Develops and maintains a network of contacts with employment resources to develop appropriate staffing strategies to fill under represented job groups.
Q.Prepares and maintains accurate records for each search conducted to include candidate source records, candidate profile summaries, affirmative action reporting information, etc. Assists in the development of a preferred executive search and research vendor list with articulated agreements or contracts that leverage the organization-s buying power.
R.Provides career counseling to associates when appropriate.
S.Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
a.identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of business processes.
b.providing training and technical guidance to less senior staff, where appropriate, and serving as point-of-contact for problem resolution.
c.participating in setting department operating plans.
d.recognizing and celebrating team successes.
e.achieving results against budget within scope of responsibility.
T.Remains abreast of industry trends and related legal legislation applicable to the company-s business.
U.Works collaboratively with professional recruiting team to develop new or enhance existing processes, procedures and programs which position the management recruiting function as highly effective and best in class.
V.Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
W.Performs other duties as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:
A.Experience in recruiting Sales Executive and/or Managers is preferred.
B.Strong organization skills with ability to handle a multitude of assignments.
C.Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
D.Ability to deliver high quality service in a timely and professional manner.
E.Works independently with minimal direction from management.
F.Thorough knowledge of traditional and non-traditional recruiting techniques.
G.Proactive/creative approach to staffing.
H.Solid understanding of management compensation programs (base pay, incentive pay, stock options) in order to provide guidance to Hiring Managers on offer packages, internal and external pay practices, etc.
I.Strong project management skills.
J.Team player.
K.Ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally.
L.BA/BS Degree in Human Resources or related subject area.
M.Three (3) plus years in management/executive level recruiting to include sourcing high-quality external candidates and managing search firm and research firm relationships.
N.Overall, minimum of five (5) plus years in Employment, Staffing or Recruiting in progressive, high profile consumer products or professional services corporation.
