Manager of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Database Administration
Purpose of the position - The Manager of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Base Administration is responsible for the physical and logical data architecture of a large-scale Oracle business intelligence data warehouse to support the creation and delivery of key intelligence data to management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Database Administration
•Responsible for the physical and logical data architecture of a large-scale Oracle business intelligence data warehouse to support the creation and delivery of key intelligence data to management.
•Manage data feeds from multiple ERP sources while orchestrating security, cleansing, transformation, and performance guidelines. Ensure that all feeds to the data warehouse run on-schedule and meet the expected results with integrity and accuracy.
•Accountable to operations staff for ensuring robust archival, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery processes and procedures.
•Support development staff and business analysts. Document and communicate current meta-data to educate users regarding warehouse content, access methods and tool support.
Software Development•Responsible for deliverables, timelines, managing team resources, monitoring tasks, reporting status and communications.
•Hire, train, motivate, mentor and manage the Applications Development/DBA staff
•Able to work with customers and IT staff and provide technical leadership to projects.
•Define, articulate & execute a business intelligence vision.
•Plans to ensure available resources to meet the forecasted demandJob Qualifications:
•7 years of experience in data warehousing /business intelligence design and development including ETL, Relational and OLAP Reporting.
•3 years of Project Management experience.
•10 years of Oracle database experience in data warehousing environments
•In depth knowledge of ETL, analytics, reporting, relational databases and development tools
•Strong knowledge of hardware and software I/O subsystems, particularly in Unix environments
•Experience with ERP systems and other business applications
•Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions.
•Good organization skills; ability to multi-task; leadership skills.
•Strong detail orientation to procedures and documentation and organizational and time management skills•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
•Oracle certified training preferred
•Informatica, Cognos, Erwin, TOAD experience preferred
•PeopleSoft HRMS, Lawson Financials experience preferred
•Unix Tools and Shell Programming experience preferredRelationships/Contacts: Will be working with other CIO, Director of Applications Development and Senior Manager of Business ApplicationsWorking Environment
