Hotel Systems Administrator- Philadelphia Region

The Hotel Systems Administrator’s primary role is design, implementation, support, maintenance and administration of the various hotel networks and applications.Essential Responsibilities Include:
1. Prioritize and escalate issues as needed to ensure good customer service. 2. Develop and administer the backup plan for both the corporate office and the hotels. 3. Assist in the management and documentation of software licenses. 4. Assist in administration of networks with particular focus and attention to systems located at hotels. 5. Assist systems support technicians with desktop support when necessary. 6. Control startup and power down functions when necessary and monitor all computer systems within the corporate data center to ensure they are operational. 7. Determine reasons for and appropriate reaction to computer generated operational halt and/or error messages. 8. In conjunction with the Vice President of Information Technology and other system administrators and managers, determine hardware and other systems specifications. 9. Create and maintain operations documentation standards and ensure that these standards are followed. 10. Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. 11. Conduct research on new and existing technologies and implement them as necessary. 12. Assist in the training of other IT associates. 13. Act as Level 2 support and provide mentoring as able to the PC Support group.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Strong hospitality and customer service skills. 2. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through the use of the telephone, email and presentations. 3. Ability to troubleshoot problems in a methodical and thorough manner. 4. Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, sometimes high pressure environment. 5. Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as needed to ensure good customer service. 6. Able to manage time and work independently or as part of a team. 7. Supervision of other team members, including performance appraisals, recognition, training and coaching as necessary. 8. Experienced in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Citrix, Microsoft SQL, email systems and antivirus, firewalls, basic and advanced networking skills. 9. Experienced with workstations and laptops, printers, servers and networking hardware and software components. 10. Ability to travel as necessary. 11. Flexible schedule and availability to be on call during weekends and holidays.
