Hotel Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager

Unique culture hotel management company seeks Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager for several locations in Hilton Head and Atlanta, GA area. Ideal candidate must understand the following job requirements.

- Reviews daily front office procedures and assure proper transmission of all necessary information to the Home Office.
- Ensures proper training programs and procedures are in place in conjunction with the General Manager and according to brand standards.
- Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.
- Manages inventory and assists General Manager with budget control.
- Inspects rooms/suites when necessary.
- Interviews and assists in hiring for front office, housekeeping and maintenance team members.
- Assist in employee discipline with regard to housekeeping, maintenance and front office personnel.
- Ensures proper uniform standards are in place throughout departments.
- Accommodates guest special requests.
- Responsible for knowing area attractions and services in order to accommodate guest's needs.
- Responsible for knowing brand services and amenities in order to accommodate guest's needs.
- Reviews room inventory with sales and assist in selling strategies to maximize room revenue.
- Monitors' tracking of leads and results. Follows up with DOS to ensure that leads are actively managed and followed up on.
- Takes ownership of sales when GM or DOS is not available.
- Assists GM in maintaining accounts.
- Ensures team member attitudes of attentiveness in meeting guest's needs.
- Oversees the daily operations of the hotel in the absence of the General Manager.
- Assists in invoices, payroll, budget, deposits, and proper reporting procedures to home office.
- Complete knowledge of OnQ hotel system after no more than two weeks training.

At least one year previous select service hotel experience required. Willing to train the ideal candidate with some experience but degree in hospitality management or hospitality related field is a must. Must have at least experience or degree in hospitality management or hospitality related field to apply.
