Hotel Chief Engineer

Exciting Chief Engineer position for a suite hotel in San Diego!


Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing Maintenance Engineering
Requires Hotel Engineering supervisory experience
Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of supervisory experience and a minimum of 2 year(s) of hotel maintenance engineering experience.
This position reports to: General Manager
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

REQUIREMENTS
Technical Requirements:
Assist Housekeeping and Front Office in minimizing downtime.
Update and maintain engineering policies, procedures, work orders, etc.
Create and implement preventive maintenance program.
Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Familiar with chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc.
Work closely with contractors on repair and capital projects.
Obtain competitive bids for all supplies and work orders.
Make cost evaluations on in-house repairs versus subcontractors.
