Health Club Attendant

SUMMARY: Welcomes guests and offers a variety of services which include demonstrating and/or instructing guests on proper operations of machines and/or weights.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned.Greets and registers guests in a courteous and efficient manner.Issues towels, and offers assistance and/or information to guests.Handles incoming guest calls.Performs tasks outlined on a daily checklist.Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.Directs or escorts guests to various facilities and functions in the hotel.Ensures MOD for services.Keeps Health Club clean and orderly at all times.Maintains a neat workplace with all equipment in its place when not is use.Ensures that all equipment meets established standards and all necessary supplies are on hand.Reports equipment that does not meet standards and requisitions supplies in accordance with departmental policy.Schedules massages and other health club services for guests as requested.Supports and maintains Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.Promotes outstanding guest relations.Performs other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS:
Attendance, which may be modified by Horseshoe from time to time, is an essential function of the job and is required to successfully perform in this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Related certification from college or technical school;Or three months related experience;Or equivalent combination of education and experienceLANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral directions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
