Food & Beverage Outlet Manager

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, the midwest's premier convention location, is looking for a seasoned Food & Beverage Manager to assist in the daily operation of our food & beverage outlets. This position will oversee Room Service, Riverside Cafe (our casual breakfast experience), Mini Bar, and Chicago Burger Company.



This person with work with the Director of Outlets in the following responsibilities:



Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff for the efficient operation of the outlets. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.



Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations. Maintain communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met.



Maintain profitability of the outlets to support overall hotel operation. Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse). Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory and ordering and retrieving supplies. Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation. Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measures.



Utilize prescribed cash handling procedures to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports and write correspondence.

REQUIREMENTS
The Sheraton Chicago is a fast-paced, high-volume operation, therefore, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role in a hotel environment. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, previous management experience required.
