One of two Directors of Hotels Marketing, each responsible for overseeing marketing direction and oversight for approximately 50 commercial properties within Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Responsible for understanding business needs/dynamics and identifying opportunities for each property. This includes developing a strong knowledge of information and data analysis tools. Responsible for providing guidance and feedback to hotels on their local marketing plans. Must gain an understanding of how local marketing budgets are spent. Responsible for educating properties on Corporate resources, initiatives and standards and identifying and developing additional tools to meet hotel needs. Responsible for developing, executing and integrating promotional, business-producing and brand programs for individual and groups of commercial properties, across all appropriate marketing disciplines (including advertising, direct marketing, promotion development, internet, B2B, etc.). Responsible for traveling and conducting work sessions with individual properties to develop local marketing programs, based on individual needs. Responsible for understanding operational needs of marketing programs, to effectively execute plans and troubleshoot problem-spots. Responsible for relationship-building within marketing department, across corporate departments, particularly Revenue Management and Sales, and with the field. Responsible for training and managing staff including Specialist and Coordinator. Responsible for preparing owner's presentations. Responsible for developing new hotel opening marketing plans. Responsible for high detail orientation in budget oversight and management. This position reports to the VP of Marketing
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of marketing experience across a variety of product and service categories. Noteworthy if some (though not all) of that time was in the hotel or travel categories. Proven depth and breadth of analytical ability to understand the hotel business or other related business categories and apply that knowledge to developing and executing marketing programs. Multiple examples of proven, specific results in developing and executing marketing plans. Significant experience developing and producing advertising and marketing communications. Senior and junior level relationship-building skills, both at the corporate and local levels. Strong management, training and organizational skills, with an ability to heavily multi-task and teach. Flexibility to travel frequently, even on short-notice. Record of innovative, fresh thinking and an ability to find new ways to solve old problems. Ability to effectively manage, train and motivate people. A can-do attitude, customer-service orientation and leadership skills.
