Wash/Detail Porter

Department: Store-OtherDealer: 2445-NEWPORT AUTO CENTERJob Description: We’re looking for lot attendant/porters to manage the flow of traffic in our fast-paced dealership. Lot attendants/porters will direct the flow of traffic in our dealership’s parking lots and provide general lot supervision. We're looking for people who can make a difference because we believe that an innovative oriented team can accomplish anything!The wash/detail porter assists in the maintenance, organization and appearance of the vehicle inventory lots and assists the New and Used Vehicle Manager as needed.Primary Responsibilities
Keep main lot in showcase form on a daily basis.
Pick up vehicles from and deliver to customers.
Pick up parts from the Parts Department.
Replace windshield wiper blades and arms.
Replenish fluids for battery, radiator, crankcase, transmissions, and brakes.
Replace batteries in used vehicles.
Clean new vehicles.
Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to assist others.
Using check out sheet - make arrangements for vehicles to go to proper vendors.
Check vehicle inventory - put vehicle in proper area.
Mark all vehicles in “hole” with the following information: Last 8 numbers of the VIN number, year of vehicle, mileage and stock number.
Fill holes in main lot inventory.
Check vehicles for damage, missing window stickers and general cleanliness.
Rotate inventory to keep display fresh utilizing space as best as possible to maintain representation of all types of inventory.
Daily check for stray vehicles around the building.This is a very demanding position which is performed mainly outdoors amongst the vehicle inventory. Individual will be subjected to the elements of nature while working. Will stand 6-8 hours per day and may need to lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds.
