Vascular Technologist - Registered

Monday - Friday 8-5 NO CALL!!!!!

Receives orders for testing as prescribed by physician; obtains patient history; determines appropriate test modality.
Performs color duplex imaging procedures to include carotid, extremity venous and arterial studies, abdominal Doppler, small parts, or other tests as assigned.
Performs non-imaging evaluation of arteries and veins by Doppler and plethysmographic techniques.
Assists ordering physician with technical interpretations of tests.
Performs data collection for quality assurance and research programs.
Provides assistance to rotating students, interns, and residents.
Schedules tests and notifies patients of appointments.
Files and/or routes patient results as appropriate.
Assists Senior Registered Vascular Technologist with ICAVL (Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories) re-accreditation process.
Maintains or schedules maintenance and repair of equipment following maintenance contract to eliminate or decrease downtime of equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), registered with American Registry and Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS.
