We currently have an opening for a ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST, ARDMS & RVT, FULL TIME AND PRN @ UTSW - UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL.
1. Demonstrates ability to produce timely and quality images while properly operating appropriate equipment and following established protocols.2. Practices proper patient handling to ensure patient safety by using proper lifting and moving techniques, aids and restraints.3. Documents all information pertaining to patient's clinical history, physician orders and procedure log book.4. Ensures correct and timely entry of procedures, supply charges and exam completions.5. Assists physicians in performamce of special procedure examinations.6. Maintains imaging equipment in optimal order. Cleans, restocks, and maintains exam rooms.7. Assembles and presents all exam documents and images for physician in timely manner.8. Displays adaptability, flexibility, creativeness, prioritization and assistance to co-workers, managers and physicians.9. Participates in educational programs, inservices and departmental meetings. Participates and assists with training and orientation of new employees and students.10. Demonstrates knowledge of department performance improvement initiatives and participates in identifying and resolving issues.11. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree from an accredited School of Ultrasound and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.**Certification in RDMS and CPR are required.**
