Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner

The Department of Surgery is currently seeking a qualified Oncology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team of professionals dedicated to serving surgical oncology patients.

The successful candidate will manage the care of the acute surgical oncology patient comprising new patient consults, decision making for surgical procedures, surgical assistance, post-op follow-up care, and providing overall tertiary and specialized care to oncology patients.
REQUIREMENTS
The Physician Assistant must have NCCPA Certification and Maryland licensed. Five (5) years of recent clinical oncology experience either in the inpatient or outpatient arena is strongly preferred.

The Nurse Practitioner will possess a Master of Science, from an accredited program in the Acute Care Adult Nurse Practitioner tract. Board Certified. Current RN licensure and CRNP in the State of Maryland, Certification or eligibility to become certified in Advanced Practice Oncology Nursing (AOCN). Certification or eligibility to become certified as an AOCNP. Five (5) years of recent clinical oncology experience either in the in-patient or out-patient arena preferred.
