The Radiology Supervisor also performs all functions of a Radiologic Technologist. The Radiology Supervisor provides input to the Director of Radiology regarding department budget and operations and participates on committees as determined to be appropriate by the Director of Radiology.Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Administers and directs the daily activities of the general radiology and CT departments and employees.Provides leadership to department staff and supports the policies and procedures of the hospital to ensure the effectiveness of the department staff. Monitors staff productivity and supports the Commitment to Co-workers and Mission statement of the hospital.Participates in the selection and purchase of equipment; coordinates repair of equipment.Prepares protocols and policies for new procedures.Provides input to and monitors the department budget; provides planning for the department to assure department and hospital needs and employees safety needs are met.Performs radiology exams on patients, following physician instructions and department protocols for all procedures.
