Sleep Center Manager

Pacific Medical Centers is seeking a Sleep Lab Project Manager.
JOB SUMMARY:

In coordination with the Chief Operation Officer (or designee), and Medical Director of the Sleep Centers, will assist in the development of the Sleep Lab, up to and including the accreditation process. Will also be responsible for the coordination oversight, and controlling the workflow and daily functions of the Sleep Center. Assures the highest quality, cost effective patient care is provided during Sleep Center procedures, and ensures smooth and efficient departmental. Responsible for the successful operation of the Sleep Center, including financial management and marketing.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:Bachelor degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.
Registered by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologist.
Polysomnigraph technology training.
3-5 years experience as a Sleep Tech.
Two-four years progressive supervisory and management experience, with budgetary and line responsibility in a Sleep Center.
Project management and quality improvement experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of sleep standards to perform procedures and to evaluate the work of others.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to recognize and to train technical staff to recognize potential life threatening situations.
Knowledge of varying techniques required to perform diagnostic and treatment sleep studies on the all patients seen in the Sleep Center.
Knowledge of Polysomnographic equipment and data transfer protocols and policies and procedures.
Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
Skill in training technologists and office staff in the equipment operations and procedures.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships by identifying and resolving problems.
Good working knowledge of sleep disorders.
Sound clinical judgments and actions regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities
