Senior Sybase Database / Replication Administrator

Effective technology plays an essential role at American Imaging Management, a growing national provider of diagnostic imaging management services. At our headquarters in Deerfield, IL (in Chicago's north suburbs), we seek a skilled professional to join our IT Staff as a Senior Database Administrator. Successfully managing our complex database environment, this skilled professional will be responsible for the following:
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor performance and perform tuning
Troubleshooting database issues
Ensure database integrity and security
Capacity planning, monitor utilization, and growth
Monitor backup completion for all databases
Create user accounts, permissions and roles
Design, install, upgrade and maintain databases in Sybase
Primary support contact for 24/7 environment
Additional Responsibilities:
Create, optimize and tune stored procedures and triggers
Responsible for referential integrity and optimization
Work closely with developers to ensure optimal performance of stored procedures
Develop and modify as necessary
Design, install, upgrade and maintain Sybase Replication Server
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Requirment:
Sybase ASE v 12.5x or higher, and UNIX are essential
Sybase Replication 12.6, and .NET environment exposure a plus
Experience:
5+ years Sybase DBA experience
2+ years Sybase Replication Server experience a plus

Must be a team player
Must be proficient in installation, configuration, performance tuning, client/server connectivity, query optimization, backup/recovery, running DB consistency checks and troubleshooting
Must have a track record of troubleshooting and investigating complex database issues
Experience working in high availability environment
Should have strong replication on production server environment experience
Understand bi-directional, warm stand-by replication
Ability to work evenings and weekends, when needed, to complete responsibilities. Some off-hours work can be done remotely.
Must be accessible by pager.
Adheres to all American Imaging Management protocols, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
