Senior Social Worker (Adolescent Population)

Classification: ProfessionalDuties and Responsibilities:
Dickinson is currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to work part time in it's wellness center.>As a Senior Social Worker, you will assist students and families to identify social, emotional, and environmental needs and to connect them with available resources/services through the provision of a full spectrum of social work services. Works with the student, family, and other members of the school wellness team to formulate a plan that provides the student services in the appropriate setting. Gathers and assesses information regarding the student's physical needs, mental status, family support system, financial resources, and available community and governmental resources. Employs assessment to develop a comprehensive case management plan that will address the needs identified. Provides information about resources and options available in the community and coordinates service delivery. Educates the school community and general public regarding various symptoms and consequences related to specific diseases, conditions and hospitalization. Provides voluntary, confidential, short-term, therapeutic intervention and referral service for students, staff, and their familities. Your experience will be a resource for Social Workers new to the field.Applicants must have a Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work and be a LCSW. 2-3 years of social work experience with adolescents preferred.
