Senior Litigation Case Manager

You will investigate, negotiate, and settle large, complex third-party litigated claim files. The majority of your responsibility will be to provide credit unions with superior claims service – building and solidifying strong partnerships through proactive professional consultation and the delivery of optimal solutions that meet their litigation needs. You will also help credit unions identify risks, loss trends, exposure, and opportunities to improve operational efficiencies that present themselves through the course of litigation and business operations. As a litigation manager, you will be required to conduct your own investigations outside of legal discovery and determine when it is appropriate to hire external adjustors, investigators and experts. You will also be required to retain qualified legal counsel and work closely with counsel in timely, cost effective resolution of legal matters. In addition to this, you will ensure that recovery processes are integrated into claims resolutions, maximum recovery or contribution opportunities are pursued, and that there is an internal consistency in the interpretation of policy provisions. Occasional travel may be required.

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of work experience with extensive knowledge of liability claims, legal processes, litigation management, and laws governing the resolution of claims. A bachelor’s degree in Insurance or Business (or equivalent, related professional work experience) and a professional designation (such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA) are desired. The candidate should also have a proven ability to work alone, or in a team setting, with adversarial parties in negotiations and resolutions. This position is available in the following area: Dallas, TX.
