Senior FAMS Analyst

Basic Function:This position is responsible for the developing, maintaining, administering and reporting capabilities of the SAS/ FAM (Fraud Abuse Management System); identifying behavior patterns
relating to claims; writing mainframe and data warehouse ad hoc programs to produce reports to demonstrate the appropriateness of patterns identified by the profiles and performs related
research; providing SID staff with data mining reports that identify potential fraud; preparing lead referrals for SID staff that substantiate a basis for further investigation; and documenting findings and their probable meaning.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:1) Bachelor Degree with courses in Computer Sciences, or related field in mathematics; 2) 4 years experience in data analysis, data modeling, data management/reporting function related to healthcare claims reporting; 3) Working knowledge of PC databases and spreadsheet software; 4) Proven analytical skills; 5) Effective interpersonal and communications skills; 6)
Demonstrated experience with structured programming language such as SAS and SQL.Preferrred Job Requirements:
1) Health insurance claims processing experience; 2) Effective database management skills, including familiarity with the following database management systems: Excel, Teradata and
DB2; 3) Relates and compares data from different sources; 4) Exhibits high competence with managing multiple and diverse tasks
