Safety Manager

All Saints' places our patients first and strives to ensure every experience with All Saints Healthcare is a positive one.The Safety Manager has responsibility for management of the WFH-All Saints safety program assuring that the safety program is comprehensive and compliant with federal, state and local regulations, applicable codes as well as accreditation standards.The Safety Manager provides leadership to all safety committees with an emphasis on hazard identification, risk reduction, education and monitoring the effectiveness of the safety program. Works collegially with the Leadership Team, Department Safety Representatives and associates to accomplish the goals of the Safety Program.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety or other healthcare related field preferred.
At least five years recent safety-related experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, with safety standards and regulatory requirements of OSHA and JCAHO.
Previous management experience of three to five years.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Skill in analytical decision making and critical thinking. Demonstrated ability to assess and act prudently and quickly in crisis situations and deal with related human responses to emergencies.
Organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills or demonstrated ability to learn.
Flexibility and ability to travel to various Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare sites as needed
Demonstrated on-going professional development through continuing education, literature review, professional activities, and the display of professional work behaviors and standards.
