First Step House ProfileFirst Step House is a 25-bed residential substance abuse treatment facility for women 18 years of age or older, and their dependent children, 12 years of age or younger. FSH has been part of the Lawrence community since 1985.
FSH provides women, who have completed intermediate treatment, the opportunity to reintegrate back into the community. To help them accomplish this transition and continue their recovery, each client is assigned both a primary counselor and a case manager with whom they meet weekly. The typical length of stay ranges from 90-120 days.Overview
The Substance Abuse Program Technician monitors residents, assesses and resolves minor residents incidents during weekend and evening hours when counselors are not on the premises.
Positions available include on-call, 10-hour weekend and a 25-hour weekly position. This is a great opportunity for Psych, Women's Studies and Social Work students!

Skills:High School Diploma or equivalent is required
One year of related experience is preferred
