The CBT Therapist will conduct the CBT intervention and booster sessions for all patients randomized to the two CBT treatment arms. In addition to treatment time, record keeping, and regular staff meetings, the CBT therapist will partcipate in supervision, conjoint meetings with the CBT therapist at the New York site, and deal with unscheduled clinical events. This role has been distributed between two individuals in order to provide coverage for vacations and illnesses, and to enable us to respond more flexibly to occasional surges in the work load.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Conducting research intake evaluations.2. Administrating experimental cognitive/behavioral treatment to ambulatory patients participating in a controlled research intervention trial.3. Contacting and scheduling patient interviews.4. Creating and updating data files.5. Meeting with and updating other research staff.WORKING CONDITIONS:Office setting. No lifting required.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree, minimum.SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:The CBT therapist must have prior experience in both psychiatric therapies and the general medical care setting.
