STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST

JOB PURPOSE: This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Family Stress Center, and is under the direct supervision of the primary Clinical Supervisor. The Staff Psychologist is responsible for providing treatment to children/adolescents and their families in the Child Abuse Prevention, Trauma and Early Intervention Program.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Conducts intakes, individual, group and family therapy.2.Maintains the necessary community/professional contacts, prepares necessary documents in a timely manner to advance treatment progress as indicated.3.Conducts outreach counseling and prevention activities in the schools.
4.Participates in outreach in schools and to high risk families as needed.5.Maintains clinical charts and completes all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely fashion.
6.Receives clinical supervision as appropriate to the level of experience.
7.May have supervisory responsibilities in a group therapy setting.
8.Participates in in-service training, administrative and supervisory meetings, as needed.9.Must meet the standard minimum amount of billable services required for the position.HIPAA REQUIREMENTS:1.Security Level: Granted limited access to computer systems containing ePHI (electronic Protected Health Information) based on specific job responsibilities.2.Training: Must have successfully completed all Center’s HIPAA training and quizzes, and signed the Certification of Training and Agreement with Compliance.
3.Must act in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and all related state law confidentiality requirements.WORK SCHEDULE: (subject to change based on Center’s needs)
FLSA Status:Exempt
Work-Week: 40 hours (Full Time), some evenings required
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.At least one year specialized experience in child abuse treatment under supervision of expert in field.2.Must be Bilingual Spanish/English.3.Experience in parallel group treatment model is preferred.4.Must have a good sense of judgment as pertaining to the position.
5.Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time effectively.
6.Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
7.Must be able to complete projects and reports in a timely fashion.
8.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
9.Must strive to continuously build knowledge and skills; and share expertise with others.
10.Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and look for ways to improve and promote quality.
11.Must have good interpersonal skills.
12.Must be able to get along with others in a courteous and respectful manner.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology
