Reuse Technician/FilingThis a Part time position also requiring filing at the Clinic.

Summary:
DaVita has an opening for a Reuse Technician. This position is responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of dialyzers in the reuse program, conducting water quality tests and setting up and tearing down dialysis machines in accordance with DaVita Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, OSHA, HCFA, AAMI, federal, state and local regulations.

Qualifications:
*High School diploma or equivalent.
*The skills required for this position will generally be acquired through one year of related experience to become familiar with routine maintenance of dialysis equipment.
*Must meet additional qualifications as required by individual state law.

Job Functions:
*Maintains reuse inventory records and ensures appropriate inventory levels of reuse supplies and equipment are available at all times. *Maintains required records for reuse dialyzers, equipment and QA data. *Labels and stores reuse dialyzers. *Cleans and sterilizes dialyzers according to established procedures. *Prints and reviews audit trail reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. *Communicates and reviews reports with the Clinical Manager. *Monitors water quality daily; conducts air quality testing; maintains accurate records and documentation; disinfects the water system; collects water and dialysate samples and follows other procedures related to ensuring water quality as per DaVita Water and Technical Services policy and procedures. *Reports problems to the Clinical Manager and Medical Director. *Prepares bicarbonate mixture using aseptic techniques, if applicable. *Communicates with management, staff, purchasing agents and vendors regarding supply delivery and notifies Clinical Manager of any unusual incidents. *May participate in facility QA/CQI process. *Maintains neatness, cleanliness and safety of stock room and reuse room as per policy and regulations. *Participates in team nursing and promotes team concept throughout all clinic activities; assists other staff in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and as allowed by state regulations as trained and assigned.
