Date Posted: posted 09/01/2006 Job Description: Per Diem Respiratory TherapistCareMax Medical Resources, a division of Maxim Healthcare Services, is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist in the Chicago, IL area to assist in spearheading our Respiratory division. This division is a start-up where you will partner with the General Manager to meet company goals. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assisting the General Manager by overseeing and managing all respiratory equipment and services to patients throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area , while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures consistent with CareMax’s goal of providing superior patient care.Responsibilities and duties include:
Assisting with managing all respiratory equipment and services to patients.

Initial patient set up and education.

Providing appropriate orientation and training to all direct report staff.

Ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and ACHC regulations.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with community referral sources.

Assisting with preparing billing documentation.

Ensuring proper personnel coverage and participating in the respiratory on-call rotation.Qualified candidates must have the following:
Fluent in English / Spanish is preferred

Current Illinois license as RRT or CRT

Minimum of one year experience in home medical equipment
