Respiratory Therapist

Department: CardiopulmonarySchedule: PRN (On-Call As Needed)Shift: Variable shiftJob Details: Must be a graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program. - Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist with the NBRC. - Current Wyoming respiratory license is required. - Must have BLS certification. - Must have NRP and ACLS within 6 months of hire.Responsible for daily patient assignments and work performed on each assigned shift. Performs a variety of cardiopulmonary therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the treatment and diagnosis of patients with respiratory and cardiac problems.Performs all assigned therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician including, but not limited to: basic respiratory therapy and oxygen therapy. Oxygen therapy including daily oxygen rounds, vapotherm, pulse oximetry monitoring to determine oxygen titration needs and arranging home oxygen therapy set ups. Bronchodilator therapy including protocols and patient assessment. Adult ventilator management. Must be able to set up, monitor and troubleshoot all aspect of running an adult ventilator. Performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures for the pediatric floor including, but not limited to, daily pulse oximetry and titration, bronchodilator therapy, RSV protocol, asthma education and oxygen therapy. Performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the nursery including, but not limited to, oxygen hood, nasal CPAP and ventilator management. Performs other duties as assigned.
