Resident Account Specialist

Avante's Management Company with headquarters in Hollywood, Florida seeks an experienced Resident Account Specialist. Position is located at the home office central processing center in Hollywood, Florida.

The Resident account Specialist is responsible for inputting and auditing all hours, earnings and deductions for employees.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

•Enter daily census and cash receipts
•Process accounting functions for facilities
•Coordinate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, co-insurance companies,
HMO and Hospice
•Act as liaison to answer question from facility on patient accounts
•Process refunds and monthly closing
•Conduct account researching and auditing
•Transmission of Part-A claims to Medicare via Passport system,
Medicaid via WinASAP, and Part-B claims via GiftRap
•Preparation of new Fiscal Year material
•All other duties assigned

Must have strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Good people and follow-up skills a must.
REQUIREMENTS
•AA degree preferred
•Bookkeeping, Nursing Home or Medical Office background
•Must have good organization skills
•Must be able to pay attention to detail
•Ability to problem solve
•Must have mathematical aptitude, be computer literate, ability to
use Word, Outlook and Excel
•Must be team player
