Registered Nurse - Recovery Room

As a Recovery Room Registered Nurse, your duties would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Take nursing history from patients/significant others and perform physical assessments on patients.

Identify obvious patient problems, symptoms, behavioral changes and deviations; report abnormal findings to Charge Nurse and to Physician as directed. Also, document assessments, interventions and patient reactions/responses.

Implement nursing care plans and medical plans of care as delegated. When creating plans, state principles of underlying nursing interventions, anticipate variable affecting patient care, evaluate consequences of interventions/activities, and identify legal consequences of nursing actions.

Seek assistance, information and/or supervision relative to nursing actions or situations for which you lack the experience or knowledge or have questions about. Additionally, guide care given by other personnel on the nursing health care team as required.
