This position is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for a Registered Nurse who is looking to work with a medium sized facility in the heart of Belleville, IL. You will gain more nursing experience, expand your knowledge and clinical skills and work with superior leaders in the healthcare industry. This position is for a 13 week contract that guarantees you work 36-40 hours a week. You will work directly with your manager on scheduling your weekly shifts.
Refer a friend/ coworker/ supervisor who has one year of recent hospital experience in this specialty and receive $2 for every hour that your referral works up to 250 worked hours. Job Duties
Under supervision, RNs carry out routine patient care assignments, work in controlled patient care situations and carry out established nursing procedures. The RNs are expected to comply with the standards of Practice for Registered Nurses in Illinois.
Accepts responsibilities delegated by head nurse or team leader
Take nursing history from patient/significant other
Perform physical assessments of patients
Identify obvious patient problems, symptoms, behavioral changes and deviations from normal
Document assessments, interventions and patient reactions/responses
Report abnormal data/finding to Charge Nurse and to Physician as directed
Implement nursing care plan and medical plan of care as delegated
State principles underlying nursing interventions
Anticipate variables affecting patient care
Evaluate consequences of nursing and medical intervention/activities
Identify legal consequences of nursing actions
Identify personal strengths and limitations
Seek assistance, information and/or supervision relative to nursing actions for which the RN lacks experience or knowledge, questions appropriateness of order/intervention, or identifies unsafe patient care practices
Guide care given by other personnel on the nursing health care team as requested
Seek education opportunities to increase clinical competence
