Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent is to report for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Norton Healthcare standards, policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for upholding the Norton Healthcare Values, namely: respect for every individual, delivery of quality service, constant pursuit of excellence and commitment to integrity.The RN is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family needs for ages neonate through geriatric.The RN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; addresses health educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations
Acts in a clinical leadership role
Applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions
Performs other related duties.Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of a Bachelors Degree, Diploma, or Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing, with current licensure in the State of Kentucky.
Certification in area of cardiology preferred.
One to two years clinical experience preferred.
CPR certification.
ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
