Registerd Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

We are looking for Registered Nurses / Licensed Practical Nurses:
Night and Evening / 8 or 12 hour Shifts

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records

Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions

Record patients' medical information and vital signs

Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions

Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition

Direct and supervise less skilled nursing/health care personnel, or supervise a particular unit on one shift

Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments

Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharge of residents

Observe nurses and visit patients to ensure that proper nursing care is provided

Supervise/evaluate the work performance of direct care staff

Work directly with the Director of Nursing on issues and solutions

Make work assignments and see that they are carried out

Assist direct care staff to carry out the physician's plan of care for each resident

Assist in the ongoing education of direct care staff

REQUIREMENTS
The Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse must possess the following:


Current state licensing
Receiving Report at each shift
Supervising and evaluation the work performance of direct care staff
Working with other departments in the home to provide for residents' total needs
Visiting residents to ensure maximum care
Assisting direct care staff to carry out the physician's plan of care for each resident
Assisting staff with major nursing care problems - reports all major problems and accidents to DON
Assisting in ongoing education of direct care staff
Physical care of all residents
Interpreting doctor's orders and physician plan of care and directing staff persons to carry out the plan of care
Recording and securing medications brought with resident
Assisting nursing staff in planning care for residents
Assisting physician or family with all transfer arrangementsJob Requirements
