Regional EMR Trainer/Medical Software/NextGen

Position Specification Main objectives and tasks: Main objectives Ø Provide training and implementation services for our practice management and electronic medical records software in our physician practices.

ØAssist physician offices/practices & clinics with the implementation of NextGen Practice Management & Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including providing advice & assistance with vendor selection & product delivery (as it pertains to hardware & software setup), & system configuration for the practice/clinic.

ØTeach and train physician practices to use EMR and contribute to the overall implementation process by managing realistic client expectations

ØEnsures effective and efficient facility and personnel use and conformance to schedules and budgets
ØWorks closely with Senior Management to meet goals
ØEnsures that key customers are properly served
Production
ØInterface with various vendors and staff within company, clients and their vendors, as well as other professionals to accomplish successful completion of project.

ØContribute to improved training documentation.



Main objectives and tasks:

ØDevelop, design, and test EMR templates and knowledge bases.

ØPerform thorough quality assurance testing as it relates to the development of templates and knowledge bases.

ØMeet the needs of both IT Application development staff and clinical end user as they relate to clinical flow sheet

ØMonitors all project reports to ensure achievement of financial, quality and on-time delivery goals

Planning, standards and goals
ØDevelops goals for timely implementation of NextGen PM & EMR software
ØDevelops Implementation and Training plans that mesh with the overall goals
ØEnsures corporate standards are met and that information flows effectively
Finance and IT
ØDevelops, maintains and monitors implementation budgets for the implementation and training of NextGen PM & EMR software

ØManages activities to meet or exceed implementation and training performance levels

Personnel
ØIdentifies appropriate internal and external sources to meet demand
ØExperience in a training and/or implementation role
ØEncourages continuous improvement





Location:
ØAn exceptional local candidate is preferred, in or around the Fishkill, NY area.
ØMust possess the ability to travel to various sites throughout NY State with at least 15% out of area travel

Desired Experience:
ØA medical software/billing/medical records and/or clinical background, along with implementation and training experience.

ØFamiliarity of the NextGen product suite


ØPractical experience in critical care or inpatient healthcare settings and/or clinical application development. An understanding of the various clinical process flow and nursing practice and procedures a plus.
ØPrevious experience with EMR development, design, and testing of EMR templates and databases

ØProficiency in the use of Microsoft Window products (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Project) or equivalent.

Ø Knowledge of the software development cycle, relational databases and client-server concepts.
