GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for regional oversight of profit and loss, and delivery of service of assigned contracts. This entails serving as account manager to specific hospital customers and managing some of the day operations in the office.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Accountable for profitability of specific hospital/system contracts with region, client retention and price negotiations of regional contracts.
2. Interfaces with Medical Directors of assigned hospitals.
3. Build and maintain relationship with client hospital personnel and contracting physicians. Coordinates and resolve issues, and conflicts.
4. Responsible for oversight of service delivery within region, and to monitor financial performance of assigned hospitals.
5. Serves as an account manager to specific hospital customers within the region, including determining the level of customer satisfaction, the renegotiating of contracts and upgrading of services.
6. Active participant in the development of new business within the region.
7. Interacts/supervises the performance pf Regional Operations Director as it relates to assigned clients.
8. Interacts/supervises the Regional Financial Manager who has responsibility for conducting financial analysis as it relates to assigned clients.
9. Liaison between physicians and EmCare to include:benefits, payroll and legal issues.
10. Works with the RCEO and RCOO in creating Regional Strategies and Workflow Processes.
11. Travels approximately 25% of the time.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required, graduate degree preferred.
In depth understanding of the healthcare industry and its evolving trends.
A strong customer service orientation and the ability and commitment to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Demonstrates ability to work independently.
Possess ability to communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and hospital administration.
Excellent communication, leadership and management skills.
Ability to travel 25% of work time.
