Regional Business Director - Urology (Mid Atlantic Region)
Job Summary:The Regional Business Director (RBD) is responsible for the development of sales strategies and achievement of Urology sales objectives within a determined geography. This position is also responsible for the management and development of 8-12 Healthcare Specialists (HCSs), market activities, and company resources within a given district that are directed specifically at maximizing territory, district, area and national sales goals and market share objectives.EOE(m/f/d/v)Job Responsibilities:Effectively manage up to 10 Healthcare Specialists toward achievement of sales and market share goals through coaching, training, motivation, skill development and teamwork. Interact with Sales Management and Product Management to establish field sales implementation strategies that ensure proper product positioning within the marketplace. Successfully interact with all Astellas departments to ensure field implementation of strategies to meet the common goals of the Sales and Marketing organizations. Provide consistent and accurate expectations and feedback to Specialists as part of an ongoing performance management process through timely assessment of performance using measurable outcomes. Design and maintain personal growth programs for Healthcare Specialists that are focused on corporate, regional, and individual development goals. Initiate developmental and training programs for Healthcare Specialists. In some districts, significant overnight travel is required. Applying for or accepting a Regional Business Director position assumes that appropriate travel is not an obstacle. For field days with all Healthcare Specialists, provide consistent corporate contact and updated information. Observe and assess job knowledge and skill requirements and develop first hand knowledge of sales dynamics with key customers. REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: 4 year college degree Valid driver's license Minimum of 5-7 years experience in pharmaceutical sales or related fields, preferably Urology. Prior experience in managing field Specialists is preferred Demonstrated leadership skills and successful contributions outside immediate team (i.e., training, mentoring, process development, etc.) A demonstrated high degree of proficiency in managing multiple projects Proven presentation, coaching, and teaching skills. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quota goals Proficient with basic computer skills 3+ years teaching institute and thought leaders developmentSkills: Cold Calling to Physicians Offices, Develop POP materials, Sales Force Training, Sales Forecasts & Projections, Capable of Multi-Tasking, Demonstrated Leadership, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Strong Organizational Skills
