RN Wound Therapy-PRN

Hospital Corporation of AmericaThe Wound Therapy Nurse supports the delivery of care to all patients. The Wound Therapy nurse performs rounds on all patients with central access, and performs dressing changes on central IV lines. They will access the need for central line access to be continued and make suggestions for alternate IV access. The IV Therapy Nurse will evaluate "difficult" stick patients for PICC or other access. Data collection on central lines sites, etc. is also a job function. Performs difficult IV sticks and PICC insertions as needed. Must be able to stand and walk for considerable lengths of time. Must have the ability to effectively manage varying and unpredictable situations.
REQUIREMENTS


Registered Nurse with a current license.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

BSN preferred.

BCLS required, ACLS preferred.
1-3 years IV experience required, PICC line experience preferred.
