Our 410-bed tertiary care hospital is recognized as one of the leading acute-care, specialty referral hospitals in the Southeast, as well as a three-time recipient of the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence.The RN - WOC will have authority, responsibility, and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound, ostomy, and continence care throughout this acute care hospital. Functions primarily as a consultant. Provides direct patient care and education to adult patients with specific disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. Provides for staff development in areas of expertise. Responsible for product recommendations in areas of expertise.
REQUIREMENTS
The qaulified candidate must have 2-5 years previous nursing experience in an acute care facility. Two years experience as a WOC Nurse in an acute care facility. Recent graduate from a WOC Nursing Program will be considered if other nursing experience is relevant.Current Georgia RN license. Graduate from an accredited WOC Nursing Education program.
