Providence St. Peter Hospital is a 390-bed, not-for-profit regional teaching hospital. Located in Olympia, the state capital, Providence St. Peter Hospital offers comprehensive rehabilitation, medical, surgical and behavioral health services. We have been ranked as one of the top 100 hospitals and as one of 10 premier healthcare employers in the nation. Our hospital rests on a 173-acre campus, much of which includes natural forest and preserved wetlands that maintain a healing environment for patients and staff. We are currently recruiting Telemetry Staff RNs to join our dynamic staff.
WORK 12 WEEKS - GET 4 WEEKS OFF WITH FULL PAY! We offer an innovative "6/2" schedule for our night shift Telemetry staff. This part-time, 36 hours/week position is 12-hour night shifts to include every other weekend and varied weeknights. Work 6 pay periods on (12 weeks on), followed by 2 paid pay periods off (4 weeks off) year round. We also have regular 12-hour night shift opportunities available - 36 hours/week, 24 hours/week, 12 hours/week and per diem.
Our Telemetry department has a combined total of 64 monitored beds. A professional staff of 109 work in our team and education-focused environment.
Additional department information includes:
1:3 RN to Patient ratio on the day shift (7am - 7pm)
1:4 RN to Patient ratio on the night shift (7pm - 7am)
ACLS certified staff provide Code Blue Team for the entire 390-bed hospital
Our typical patient is recovering from open-heart surgery or myocardial infarction with IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, or Pronestyl
Procedures range from sheath removal and cardioversion to transmyocardial revascularization
We are ranked #1 in Washington in interventional cardiovascular services

Onsite BSN Program & Future Onsite MSN Program - Providence employees have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) at St. Peter Hospital. The hospital has partnered with the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) Nursing Program to offer BSN classes. This partnership provides the opportunity for working nurses to complete their BSN degree within three years by taking one class each quarter. Our MSN program starts in 2006.

REQUIREMENTS
Current Washington State RN License required. A Bachelors degree in Nursing and nursing experience in a hospital acute care setting is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified. 18 months current acute care, telemetry or critical care experience required.
Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a role model, leader, and bedside care coordinator of the multidisciplinary team providing patient care. As a professional caregiver the RN is responsible and accountable for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN plans and provides care to patients using the nursing process, available resources, and approaches based on hospital protocols and standards to achieve patient-driven outcomes and discharge-planning goals.
Salary Range: $22.74 - $39.35
