RN/Registered Nurse - Surgical Services
Job Responsibilities:Assess patients holistically;Interpret patient data;Administer medications safely, operate patient care and other equipment;Perform patient treatments, effectively teach patients and their significant others/caregivers;Evaluate patient’s response to care/revise plan of care;Communicate and function effectively with all members of patient care team;Complete concise, legible documentation that reflects the nursing process;Adhere to safety policies/procedures;Maintain confidentiality;Observe patient rights;Assure all care and communication is respectful and age/culture/spiritually appropriate;Provide for patient management during altered states of conscious sedation.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements:
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon; basic life support (or equivalent) or must obtain within 60 days of hire date; ACLS within one year of hire; CNOR certification is preferred.Occupational Experience/Personal Attributes:
Recent Operating Room experience (within the past two years) or graduation from an accredited perioperative program; priority setting ability; organizational, problem solving, communication, and teaching skills; participation in continuing education utilizing both formal and informal sources.
