Eight Mile N&R Center, LLC, a 172-bed skilled nursing facility that emphasizes superior medical staff specializing in geriatric and rehabilitation measures to offer a wide range of in-house services. Our team is comprised of Physicians, Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Rehabilitation Therapists, Registered Dietitians and Social Workers.
Our nursing staff is the key element in creating a nurturing and caring environment for our patients. We trust our team, and give our nurses the freedom that they need to be creative, adaptable and use independent judgment to complete assigned duties.

Some key responsibilities include :

Identify and communicate with patient/family regarding care needs.
Assess, monitor, and treat specific resident care conditions pursuant to physician orders.
Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in unit/shift assignments to meet residents and facility needs.
Makes daily rounds for all areas of nursing care under his/her supervision, visits each resident to evaluate physical and emotional condition to receive comments relating to residents needs and problems, and implements necessary nursing interventions.
Communicates regularly with Unit Manager and other department managers to ensure pertinent information exchange.
Makes rounds with physician when possible. Ensure all charts and forms are signed. Maintain open lines of communication with attending physicians and ensure that all residents are visited as required.
Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately and assists in resolving the matter in a professional matter.
Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory agencies in the
areas of infection control, safety and direct patient care.

REQUIREMENTS
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Alabama.
Is listed in good standing as confirmed on the State Department of Professional Credentialing.
Is a graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
Previous work experience in a long term care setting preferred.
