Immediate need for OR Educator and Cordinators in the following specialty areas:

OR Educator

Required–Nursing and medical knowledge of equipment and supplies. Minimum of 5 years experience as an O.R. Nurse. Active participation in professional organization.

Preferred–Experience in nursing leadership role.

Required–Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current license in the State of VA. CNOR Preferred-BSN

OR Coordinator

Current licensure as an RN.

The Operating Room Clinical Coordinator coordinates and oversees nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:

Assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after a surgical procedure.
Coordinates nursing care to the patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
Participates in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
Ensures the proper carryout of physician orders.
Administers prescribed medications, applies dressings, monitors vital signs.
Coordinates the assistance physicians during procedures.
Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
Coordinates the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
Ensures the proper handling of specimens.
Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
Orients and mentors staff members.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
3-5 years charge or management experience in a surgical setting
5 or more years of OR experience
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.


Charge RN - Telemetry
Strong nurse with at least 2 years experience in Progressive Care Unit. Ability to lead, mulit-task, and motivate others.
