We seek a self-motivated, outgoing RN to join our Columbia team as a Quality Improvement Specialist. In this position you would help ensure that we are in compliance with state, federal and JCAHO regulations. You would also enjoy a flexible schedule, as well as plenty of autonomy and excellent benefits. This is a great opportunity to utilize your nursing skills in a new way!



Primary responsibilities include:


Identifying the cause of unusual events or complaints by gathering data and performing follow up


Trending data over time and looking at internal and external databases to determine where each branch stands in specified areas


Gathering and interpreting data to identify areas that need improvement


Meeting with branch managers to develop improvement plans


Providing orientation to new employees and occasionally accompanying new staff in the field


Reporting to the branch manager on the progress of new staff and address any areas that may need improvement

Job Requirements:

Prior quality audit performance improvement experience is required, along with a current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Maryland. Clinical management experience is preferred. A background in home or community health would also be preferred. Candidates must have solid computer skills and the ability to resolve issues with other staff members.
