Providence St. Peter Hospital is a 390-bed, not-for-profit regional teaching hospital. Located in Olympia, the state capital, Providence St. Peter Hospital offers comprehensive rehabilitation, medical, surgical and behavioral health services. We have been ranked as one of the top 100 hospitals and as one of 10 premier healthcare employers in the nation. Our hospital rests on a 173-acre campus, much of which includes natural forest and preserved wetlands that maintain a healing environment for patients and staff. We currently have part-time RN opportunities available in our Medical/Renal Unit.

Why should you consider a career with Providence Health & Services in Southwest Washington?

Shared Decision Making - Our nurses have a shared decision making structure that includes five councils; Clinical Practice Council, Service Excellence Council, Employer of Choice, Stewardship and Systems, and Mission and Values. The councils consist of staff nurses, educators and managers sharing equally in decision making.

Excellent Benefits - We offer a highly competitive benefit and compensation package. Ournurses are given 100% credit for all RN experience for pay purposes. Relocation assistance is available.

Onsite BSN Program & Future Onsite MSN Program - Providence employees have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) at St. Peter Hospital. The hospital has partnered with the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) Nursing Program to offer BSN classes. This partnership provides the opportunity for working nurses to complete their BSN degree within three years by taking one class each quarter. Our MSN program starts in 2006.

Location, Location, Location!

Set on the southern tip of Puget Sound, Olympia is right in the heart of the Pacific Northwest ... both in geography and in attitude. Interstate 5 offers quick, convenient access to many great Pacific Northwest destinations.

Seattle, a short hour away, offers sports - NFL football, Major League baseball and NBA basketball. Not to mention its world-class music, restaurants and shopping!

About three hours north is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - truly an international crossroads. Portland, Oregon, is two hours south. The city's thriving downtown and historic neighborhoods entice visitors from all over the world!

A two-hour drive east gets you to the Cascade Mountains and Mt. Rainier for a world of wintertime play - downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snow shoeing. The ancient rain forests of Olympic National Park are just an hour away to the west. The Pacific Ocean also is just over an hour away ... replete with clamming and beachcombing.
