REGISTERED NURSE, ADMINISTRATOR, BONITA VALLEY RANCH

This is a unique opportunity involving significant upside potential (50% profit sharing) for a COUPLE (one a registered nurse preferred) who together encompass most of the spectrum of skills required. We are looking for a Live-In Couple as administrators / managers, initially some care giving, maintenance, as well as continuing our start up and project management of five expansion phases. Ideally, one of the individuals will be a registered nurse, (RN, LVN,VERY EXPERIENCED FACILITY MANAGER acceptable). The other person would have good maintenance experience or even residential construction experience. We are expanding a newly licensed 6 person, expandable to 24+ person, elder care and independent living complex. I have a CD with 100+ photos and a detailed business plan that will be sent to qualified applicants. SUMMARY Premium $2,500,000+ setting in the spacious remodeled main house of the old Sweetwater Valley Ranch on 3 acres in Bonita(which has been in our family for 50+years), 8 miles south - southeast of San Diego. After all construction phases are complete, the property on three adjoining parcels will support an integrated complex of three premium 6-14 person elder care homes plus three independent living homes for more active seniors. Private 3 room apartment with room and board included. Long-term position will evolve into a 50% profit sharing partnership with potential net compensation exceeding $200,000 / year after all phases are completed. Total initial compensation value of $50,000 - $75,000 / year depending upon qualifications and experience. This is truly a unique opportunity for the right couple with the proper skills between them. DETAILS Sweetwater Valley Ranch was a 70-acre ranch in the Sweetwater River valley. The house is a one story, five bedroom, three bath facility of about 3,400 square feet with larger than average accommodations. It is furnished with comfortable antiques, including a foot-operated player piano. The front lawn abuts to and looks directly over 60 acres of San Diego County Sweetwater Valley open space (which used to be part of the original ranch) to the mountains beyond. It is a landscaped site with many mature trees. For those interested, fertile soil is available for virtually any size garden where fresh produce may be grown. We are on a quiet residential street in an upscale neighborhood (that has grown around the old ranch site). The ranch house sits back from the street about 100 feet, which reinforces your feeling of privacy, peace, and seclusion. From much of the site you cannot even see the neighbor’s houses. The grounds are fully fenced and gated. The neighborhood invites safe, secure walking, with a 4 mile path around the golf course a 5 minute walk away. Our target market - - seniors 60 years of age and above, who do not need intensive individual medical care (nursing home), have the financial resources to demand premium personalized care, and who do not wish to reside in a large commercial institution.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate couples must have high initiative, compassionate perspective working with the elderly, minimum 5 years experience in elder care or equivalent. RCFE Administrators license desired but not mandatory. Nurse / Nursing Experience preferred. Registered Nurse is a definite Plus. Geriatric care background will also be given special preference. Very helpful to have additional skills in business, supervision of care giving employees, construction, maintenance, project management, landscaping, etc. I am looking for a couple who has the desire and energy to be the architect and implementers of their vision. Someone who may be frustrated with the mechanized approach to care given to the elderly in today’s institutions. Someone whose ideals originally led them into nursing but those ideals have not yet been eroded by large institutions, where quality care is frequently secondary to profitability and efficiency. I am looking for a couple who sees this opportunity as their long term final position - - One where they can implement their vision of quality care (and be responsible for it!) and can reap financial reward commensurate with their effort and skills. One where they are not simply employees but rather business partners. We need a couple that has the vision and creativity to guide this complex into being the benchmark by which premium care throughout San Diego County is measured. We have the unique physical site and the opportunity. We now need the most important element - - the human side of success. Over the years I have found the human challenges are often the most unknown (and satisfying) and are also the most common reason why projects or plans fail to meet objectives. As in the start up of any business, initially you must be prepared to perform a full spectrum of responsibilities - - From hiring and managing employees, developing marketing plans and material, providing some direct care giving, to unclogging sewers if that is required.
