Quality Improvement Coordinator

May Institute, Inc. is seeking a QI Coordinator to act as a liaison between the QI Department and the behavioral health and children’s services programs and to monitor key elements of the services provided by these programs

Responsibilities:
Conducting independent reviews of program services (up to 50% regional travel) and developing appropriate documents to support findings and recommendations
Completing audits of records including, training, billing and records of individuals served and developing timely compliance reports
Conducting monthly program management meetings for assigned programs, collecting and analyzing relevant data and sharing QI-related information with the programs
Participating on standing committees, i.e., Safety Committee, Adult Services Task Force and QI Department meetings
Sharing best practices with assigned programs
Monitoring the tracking system for all complaints and investigations and participating in investigations, as assigned
Identifying trends and assisting performance improvement teams with the development of action plans to address identified issues
Assisting programs with accreditation and licensing reviews that are conducted by external entities
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
1-3 years of QI/QA/QC and Safety/Risk Management Systems experience required
Experience in healthcare/educational systems and regulations, internal auditing, licensure and/or accreditation processes required
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
A high degree of organization, independence and ability to interact with staff effectively at all levels of the organization
Bachelor’s degree preferred
