Quality Assurance Coordinator

The individual in this position will ensure that the Dental Center is in compliance with all regulatory agencies by conducting audits, establishing protocols, preparing reports and action plans. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, he/she will conduct chart audits for 60,000 active patient charts (the clinics see as many as 250,000 patients a year), as well as identify and resolve non-compliance issues by establishing immediate action plans to correct deficiencies. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will administer a variety of quality assurance programs to ensure the Dental Center's compliance with regulations, standards, practices and protocols of the University, City and State Health Departments and other regulatory agencies. In addition, the incumbent will identify and resolve environmental issues affecting the Dental Center.
REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree and 3 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Experience administering quality assurance, assessment and improvement programs in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting required. Knowledge of Article 28 and OSHA regulations is a must. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels are essential. Working knowledge of a variety of software applications needed. A Masters in Health Care Administration, experience auditing financial and/or medical records and basic knowledge of risk management issues preferred.
