Psychiatric Unit Director

The RoleThe Inpatient Psychiatrist shall be responsible for the comprehensive psychiatric care of patients on 22-bed unit with respect to the clinical and administration of the policies and procedures applicable to the inpatient units as approved by Provider.
ResponsibilitiesThe Inpatient Psychiatrist shall be responsible for the medical treatment/care of all patients on his/her designated unit with respect to the clinical and administration of the policies and procedures applicable to the inpatient units as approved by Provider. This position would report to the Chief of the Inpatient Psychiatry. The unit also has another Psychiatrist, Internist, social workers, nursing staff and psychiatric techs.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Completion of approved residency in General Psychiatry·Board Eligible or Certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology·Licensed to practice medicine in New York
·Approved as member of Provider's Medical Staff.
