Shft: DaysJob Description:Prepares and maintains database to support Disease Management Program to include preparation of queries and reports.Assist Credentialing Coordinator in all aspects of midlevel credentialing to include sending out the applications, tracking return of applications and money, entering data in database and merging letters and running reports. Coordinate mailings of all application information to payors and coordinating information to providers regarding participation with payors.
Applies knowledge of various computer application and data analysis tools. This requires both an advanced understanding of various computer applications (including Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point) as well as advanced customer service skills in order to help staff determine their specific data management needs.Builds spreadsheet formulas and creates ad hoc queries and reports as requested. May extract data from databases by running advanced queries and reports for purposes of information analysis.Participates in the building and maintenance of MS Access and Excel macros as needed to support various process improvement and data analysis projects.Experience
Three to five years of experience working in office setting. A minimum of one year experience with computerized data management software applications (preferably Microsoft Office Suite) and statistical packages. Formal education from an accredited institute of higher learning may substitute for the experience requirement.
Education /Licensure
Requires an Associate¿s Degree in business or microcomputer applications or equivalent work experience. Bachelor¿s Degree is preferred. Knowledge in microcomputer applications required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written. Must be self-directed, team oriented and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and customers. Knowledge about medical practice is important. The Provider Relations Data Specialist must maintain strict confidentiality, communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with physicians, office staff, and personnel of managed care plans, as well as develop working relationships with the above. Job requires good interpersonal skills, verbal, and written skills with the ability to type 60+ wpm. Excellent knowledge of current version of Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Ability to work independently and under pressure, be flexible, tactful, and resourceful, and have good organizational skills, a good memory and common sense.
