Proofreader / copy editor to proofread and edit letter copy, brochures, direct mail communications, newsletters, CD-ROMs, web copy, legal text, proposal materials, benefit and source books, sales materials and other marketing communications.

'Proofread/edit copy for all member, provider, sales and corporate communications as well as materials for internal communications.
'As part of the content/copy group, proofreader will be responsible for contributing to developing and maintaining the consistency of copy, wording, punctuation and legal text as well as branding elements among all documents.
'As part of the content/copy group, proofreader will be responsible for contributing to developing and maintaining a punctuation and word style guide for all marketing communications.
'Proofreader will be responsible for maintaining and updating derivative mark list.
'Proofreader will be working with Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Acrobat Reader to review certain communications online
'Proofreader should be able to work within corporate style guidelines, handle high volume work levels and deliver assignments according to agreed upon timelines.
'Proofreader should be able to work alone as well as collaborate with marketing team, product managers, copywriters, art directors, web designers and others within the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
'Proofreader must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a proofreader with a highly knowledgeable background of English spelling and grammar.
'Knowledge of proofreading symbols is a must.
'Experience with technical or legal copy, direct response and/or healthcare communications is a big plus.
'The person must be self-motivated, organized, exhibit good-judgment and show the ability to complete assigned tasks and achieve deadlines with minimal supervision.
'Be able to 'connect the dots' on multiple issues and ID synergies between projects.
'Proofreader must feel comfortable in learning additional healthcare related language
'Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Acrobat Reader a plus


Proofreading, as part of the Marketing department impacts corporate goals for new members and retention as well as response/call to action for specific projects for which the marketing department provides support
